Thy Blessings

By D. V. RAMA RAO

Thou hast found a resting place in this humble abode, which knew no rest, till Thou stepped in.

Thou hast set to tune this unstringed instrument which knew no music till Thou placed on it.

Thou hast brightened this dark chamber that knew not a faint glow till Thou lighted it.

Ah, this withered trunk that Thou hast brought to life now blossoms forth in ecstacy of Thy boundless glory.

Thou hast found a resting place in this humble abode which knew no rest till Thou stepped in.

Thy Blessings are endless.

Thou hast chastened my life with a silent reproachful glance and turned a desolate world into a land of eternal wonder.

Was it not Thy gentle step that taught the whistling wind to play this delicate tune?

Ah, with Thee entered into this long forgotten abode the fragrance of the flowers and the music of the pale silent nights.

Thy Blessings are endless.
