Knowing not from where I came
Knowing not where I go,
Still I continue my journey
Moving round and round,
Around the gyre of life, a game of chess.
Seeing many a trouble and many a pleasure,
Seeing the innocent drowning, and the cunning ruling,
Seeing the vice dominating, and the virtue bewailing,
Still I live, and still I journey.
What matters if vice rules,
And what matters if the ruled is the virtue?
If vice rules now, will virtue be far away?
With this hope, live you and I,
With this hope, journey you and I,
Round and round, around
The gyre of life, a game of chess
Knowing not from where we came
Knowing not where we go.
