LEARNED MAN

Just as a solitary moon that shines in the sky

eclipses the dim glow

of a thousand little stars,

so too a single learned man

by the radiance of his intellectual powers

eclipses a thousand fools.

PROWESS

A ship can’t sail on the land

however mighty it be,

a huge chariot can’t tame the waters of the sea

and float in it,

however mighty it be;

however powerful we are

we should know where we should show our prowess.
