EVOLUTION
AND INVOLUTION
Evolution and involution
Are not universal.
Molecules, atoms, atomic
particles,
Ions, neutrons and
photons,
Have been most zealously
Preserving their
properties
Ever since the birth of
the universe.
Bodies–living or non-living–
Are subjected to
evolution and involution.
Mountains become
boulders
And are exposed to
Chilling cold,
Devastating heat,
Cyclonic winds,
Torrential rains,
They break and break
Into particles of sand
And spread into arid
deserts.
Volcanic eruptions
Create mountains.
Life Is subjugated to Time;
As the wheel of time
revolves,
Unable to extricate
itself
From its clamping
clutches
Life passes thro’ the
cycles
Of birth and death
Till it is finally
emancipated.
