WORTHY EXISTENCE

Nynaru Appaswamy

Transient are all the things in the world

For some time a place they may hold

Waiting ever is that inescapable death

It puts an end to man’s billowing breath

Man’s worth is not measured by his age

Nor by power, status, wealth and lineage

It matters not how long he lived

By what means he earned and thrived.

It’s by making his mortal existence

Attuned to the divine will and ordinance

Leading a life virtuous and devoted

Gains man the place most coveted.

One should make his consciousness grow

To higher levels of eternal divine glow

Manifest he should the divinity on earth

Only that makes his existence worthy.
