We Come and Go…

M. K. Kendall

We come and go in tides of life

Love’s lessons flow from

Such striving scenes that seekest naught

but Life! whence love eternal ought

to spring-And so in dance with time

What’s mine to know is given thine

Own heart to grow midst Heaven’s spheres

Celestial notes to sway our fears-

And hearing not

May then we sing of Love’s

Own sorrowed suffering?

In joy I’ll find the point

pain pressed

Deep in the heart

of Sorrow’s breast

An arrow’s aim to know

In truth

Love liveth all-

And ali forsooth…
