Sisters of Ulysses

H. K. Kendall

Touchless turquoise eyes like diamonds

Sparkle softly in the sunlight

Swirling out in burst reflection

from the mirrors of our souls.

Aqua depths of introspection

Whirling up to greet the madness

Sister-Mother Earth’s great sadness

melts away in dripping tears;

Drops of dew from emerald forests

Quench the ever-thirsting sunshine

Sailing up her rays of gladness

to refresh the sapphire sky.

So our hearts commune and mingle

in the love of this dimension

Sister-Mother you are never far

from reaching in my mind...
