Remember, Remember
K.V.V.
Subrahmanyam
Remember,
remember
The
eleventh of September,
The
fiend called Osama Bin Laden
With
vendetta and white fire laden.
The
holocaust in Hitler’s land
Etched
in history’s quicksand;
Blitzkrieg
and the battle of Britain
Pages
of history are thus written.
Horrendous
assault where parliament sat,
With
subdued murmurs world did react;
What’s
sauce for goose isn’t for gander,
Public
memory is short; view did wander.
Carnage
in Godhra, killings in Gujarath
Are
fuel to flames that kindle wrath.
Arafath,
Sharon and cohorts in blood bath,
Will
sanity restored in the aftermath?
In
times of crises, all hands to the deck,
Lest
humankind fasten the noose round the neck;
It’s
an eternal fight against bigotry and hate,
For
survival of the race, it’s never too late.
