Only Man Cares for Time

The existence of Time is absolutely indefinite,

But certainly it is a bitterly disturbing entity.

Only Man’s helplessness has assigned value,

Else it holds no relevance for any other creature.

For billions of years organic and inorganic forces,

The universe and the planets have been there

But it is only man who has given cognizance to Time,

Otherwise the cosmos with its myriad stars,

And the Milky way with its mystery have existed

Without ever caring for the irrelevant element of Time.

Man struts the earth daring to unravel its secrets,

Totally unaware of the fact that like the fabled Atlanta

Mother Earth may also disintegrate and disappear.
