The dead body warns you that life is not for ever;
The parting flower warns you that it parts for ever;
The vanishing mist warns you that it vanishes for ever;
The truth of life is such, do you think about it ever?
This body is dust that mixes with dust for ever;
Mourning for the dead is but it’s not for ever;
Things that glitter today do not glitter forever;
Such is the picture of life, do you think about it ever?
You cling to outer-show of the word forever
Out of ignorance you forget God forever;
Not withstanding you think that this life is for ever,
And leave not your snobbery that you carry forever!
