“Lord in Your beautiful world,
Where the joys of Colours are unfurled,
Let me see them in Your true light,
Pure and luminous, shimmering bright.
Let me see the Red in the rising sun,
Not in the blood of any innocent one.
The Black in the boisterous rain-bearing cloud,
Which brings succour to the farmer,
Not in death’s dark shroud,
Which is hidden in a terrorist’s armour.
The glistening Green in nature’s foliage,
Not in envying nations espionage.
The beautiful Blue of the skies and seas,
Not in the poison of conspiracies.
The bountiful Brown of Mother Earth’s treasures,
Not in the dirty mind’s scheming measures.
The gleaming Yellow of golden hearted Saints,
Not in the jaundiced eyes of fanatic taints.
The peaceful White of Thy Divine Glow,
Let mankind awake in that Rainbow,
Where there is only joy and no sorrow,
Where there is faith and hope for tomorrow.
