A SUBLIME ENCOUNTER
R.
M. V. Raghavendra Rao
From fears’ folds and anxieties’ accents
The connections inherent clamoured
To combat the dark clouds within
And delight in the Maker’s magnificence without–
In a lover’s embrace of the Spirit with the Sky.
At every bend across the valley
There was death as its ally,
The landslides tumbling, like Nature’s wrath,
Chopping every time chunks of the path.
Palpitation, perspiration; then purification
In sighting the Ganges kicking the Ghadwal bases
Like an infant in suckling,
The falls caressing fondly, the child
With oblations crystal and mild.
Man’s being is filled with influences,
The Badrinath, dwelling in confluences.
Altitudes of scintillating Divine dances,
The sublime spirit suffused in the Creator’s cadences.
